The Brockport Board of Education selected Sean Bruno as the next superintendent of the BrockportSean Bruno Central School District. He was formally appointed to the position during the May 28, 2020 special Board meeting and assumed his new role on July 1. 

Bruno previously served as the superintendent for Mexico Academy and Central School District, where he successfully
led the district for five years. Prior to this position, he served as principal of Fred Hill Elementary.  During his 25 years in education, Bruno served as an assistant principal, special education teacher and teaching assistant at all levels across varied demographics.

Bruno earned his Bachelor of Science at SUNY Buffalo and continued his studies at Niagara University, earning a Master’s of Science and a Certificate of Advanced Study in Educational Administration and Supervision. Bruno also completed the NYS Council of School Superintendents Leadership for Educational Achievement Foundation Future Superintendents Academy and SUNY Oswego’s NYS Superintendent Development Program.
