PBIS @ Ginther Elementary

PBIS improves social, emotional and academic outcomes for all students through explicitly teaching expected behaviors and routines across a variety of school settings. The PBIS framework is taught through our three core elements in the district: Be responsible, be respectful, and be a learner.

Our PBIS team incorporates push in booster lessons with our school counselor, holding school wide PBIS assemblies and recognizing students with Bee Bucks for following these explicitly taught behaviors in all areas of the school.  Ten Bee Buck winners are chosen at random each week and they are awarded a certificate and the chosen students are able select from a variety of rewards and experiences.

The district has created a K-5 matrix that incorporates expectations across instructional settings. At the Ginther School, the matrix is further broken down into each area of the school and those matrices outline the expected behaviors and routines.
