Town Gown Seeks Masks for Community Members
Posted on 04/14/2020

The United Way and the Brockport Fire Department have asked for assistance to support members of our community who are putting themselves on the front-lines during this pandemic. Specifically, they have asked for donations of masks. As you may be aware, commercial masks are very limited. Individuals have been stepping up to create homemade masks to help support the need.  As a community, let’s help each other!

Help promote this idea of creating masks by sharing the information found in this article and video with anyone in the community who may be willing to participate.

Prepare masks for drop off by placing an individual mask in a plastic sandwich type resealable bag. To avoid confusion, please write clearly on the outside of the bag which masks are for the “BFD” (Brockport Fire Department). Each location will have a labeled cardboard box for collection outside the main entrance doors except at the Village Offices, where you can drop masks off in the designated drop box.
Each Monday, the masks will be picked up and distributed.

Masks can be dropped off at the following locations:

  • SUNY Brockport Campus: lobby of the Allen Administration Building
  • Brockport Central School District: outside the District Office Building located at 40 Allen Street.
  • Town of Sweden, 18 State Street
  • Village of Brockport, 127 Main Street - Please see labeled box on front porch of Village Hall

Thank you for your support and assistance!
