2000 - INTERNAL OPERATIONS
BOARD OF EDUCATION ACTIVITIES
2350 BOCES BOARD OF EDUCATION REPRESENTATIVE FROM BROCKPORT
The
Brockport Board of Education will provide a representative to the
Monroe 2-Orleans BOCES in accordance with the terms of Education Law
1950(2).
Further, the Board agrees:
- To respect the
informal agreement which provides that each component district
shall have one representative on the BOCES Board and further that the
component district shall be responsible for selecting the person it
prefers to represent the District on the BOCES Board of Education;
- That
when the Brockport Central School District's representative position to
the BOCES Board of Education is up for election, or open due to the
resignation of the current representative, to:
a. Make the Brockport Central School District community aware of the vacancy in this position;
- Encourage
interested Brockport Central School District Community persons to send
their written nominations to the Board of Education;
- Nominate from the Board of Education;
- Interview each person who expresses an interest in being nominated; and
- Nominate only one (1) person for election.
Further,
the Brockport Central School District Board of Education expects that
its representative currently serving on the BOCES Board shall meet at
least once annually with the Brockport Central School District Board of
Education for the purpose of discussing matters related to BOCES.
